Will my natural stone look exactly like my sample?

The beauty of natural stone is that it is uniquely crafted by nature, meaning that no two pieces of stone will look exactly alike and will differ in veining, fossils (variety and quantity) and, occasionally, some tones.

Do I need to seal my materials?

Natural Stone

We recommend that all natural stone products be sealed before and after installation to prevent any staining. Natural stone is naturally porous and will absorb anything that falls onto it. There are various types of sealants that your installer can recommend. Make sure to follow their instructions on how often to reapply sealer. A good sealer allows time for proper cleaning before absorption to prevent staining.

Porcelain

Most of our porcelain tiles do not require sealing and are low maintenance.

• ¾ inch

*These are the typical standard tile sizes; however, some factories “standard sizing” may differ due to type of material (density, weight, etc) or machinery.

Our factory in Spain is able to provide custom tile sizes and finishes along with custom work.

Porcelain

Dimensions are dependent on manufacturer.

What type of custom work does Piedras International provide?

At Piedras, we are able to tailor our natural stone to the specifications that each project requires. Our factory in Spain is able to fabricate custom tile sizes, columns, moldings, balustrades, mosaics, stone pool drains and more.

How does Piedras International provide competitive prices?

At Piedras International, we keep our prices competitive by working directly with the finest quarries and factories across the globe. We also work on a project basis, meaning that, rather than having materials in stock, we place orders with our factories based on the specifications of each individual project.

Does Piedras International have their materials in stock?

As we represent factories across the globe and provide materials on a project basis, we typically do not have a stock of our materials (excluding some porcelain options). Occasionally, we may have a stock of Coral Stone products.

How long will it take to receive my materials?

This depends on the country of origin and is reflected within our estimates. Below are some examples-

• Spain: Lead time is approximately 6-8 weeks
• Dominican Republic: Lead time is approximately 3-4 weeks
